Asthma SA
Asthma is one of Australia’s most chronic (long-term and persistent) health problems.
Over two million people live with Asthma with one in nine children and one in 10 adults being at risk of an attack. Because the Asthma Foundation believes that the best management of respiratory health comes from self-care and an active relationship with a health care professional it provides a range of training courses, workshops and information sessions for people living with Asthma, and associated conditions. Topics covered include “Live Well with Asthma” and “Asthma First Aid”.
The Foundation also runs training, workshops and information sessions specifically designed for health care professionals, workplaces, sporting bodies, schools and organisations providing services to children. Topics covered in these sessions include “Workplace Asthma Emergency Training”, “Sports and Recreation Asthma Emergency Training” and “Asthma First Aid for Schools and Children’s Services.”
The Asthma Foundation is also happy to provide one-on-one advice and ‘tailor made’ courses to suit individual needs.
