The 2010 Degustation Dinner got off to a great start with guests greeted with a glass of Janz and delicious Oysters Tempura and salsa.
Following a welcome by host Rob Kelvin, Chef Chris Jarmer made mouths water describing the five course meal he had prepared. Beginning with “Prawn Cocktail 2010” and finishing with a luscious warm “Chocolate Torte and Espresso Gelato” each course was complemented by a perfectly matched wine from Yalumba.
Entertaining as always, Greg Moulton from Brock Harcourts conducted the auction which netted lucky bidders a range of fabulous items kindly donated by Yalumba; Trims and R.M.Williams; SeaLink Travel Group and Aurora Ozone Hotel; Adelaide BMW and Chris Jarmer.
A lucky winner from each table also took home a giant gift box of Robern Menz favourites.
The event raised funds for the Spirit of South Australia unit which this year provided laptops for children living with cancer; equipment for people living with Motor Neurone Disease; assistance to set up a literacy and numeracy programme for people with intellectual disabilities and camps for children who are disadvantaged and/or who have suffered abuse.
