A day of sheer driving pleasure was enjoyed by guests who participated in the Channel 9 Telethon Adelaide Motors BMW Drive Event on Friday 29 August.

Hosted by Rob Kelvin and special guest, Australian Motor Racing Hall of Fame inductee, Allan Moffat the day gave each participant a chance to drive the latest and best that BMW has to offer - M5, M6, 7 series, 6 series, 3 series, and 1 series convertible.

Taking off from Adelaide Motors, drivers followed a route through the magnificent Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula, to the Goolwa Airstrip where, after lunch, they were treated to a mouth watering demonstration of BMW performance and handling capabilities by Allan Moffat.

At the conclusion of Allan’s demonstration, participants were invited to try out their driving skills in the BMWs of their choice on the airport runway.

Following afternoon tea drivers took up their driving positions once again and returned to Adelaide via Ashbourne and Meadows to conclude the day with light refreshments in the Adelaide Motors boardroom.
