WHO WE HELP & WHY

Each year Channel 9 Telethon selects nine Charities to receive sponsorship as "Level One Charities". Sponsorship at this level enables the organisations to plan, profile their work and promote their fundraising events and projects. It also provides options for fundraising opportunities either on their own, by joining other Charities and/or taking advantage of Channel 9 Telethon projects.

The Charities selected for 2002 are:

• Arthritis Foundation SA
• Asthma South Australia
• Childhood Cancer
• Foundation Daw Park
• Huntington's Disease
• Mary Potter Foundation
• Phoenix Society
• SIDS south australia
• The Florey Medical Research Fund

Opportunities also exist for additional Charities to participate in major lotteries and fundraising projects conducted by Channel 9 Telethon.

Sponsorship may also be granted to organisations planning a major fundraising project or event.

Since 1960, more than 80 South Australian Charities have benefited through their association with Channel 9 Telethon.
