(Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Association of South Australia)
SIDS south australia is dedicated to the provision of accurate, current information about SIDS and other childhood deaths to the community, in an effort to reduce infant mortality.
The Association offers a 24-hour crisis outreach service to the immediate and extended family of a child who has died suddenly and unexpectedly, whether due to SIDS, fast-onset illness or accidentally, supporting families and others for as long as necessary.
SIDS south australia also aims to stimulate and fund research which may ultimately isolate the causes of SIDS, predict at-risk groups and help develop preventive programs, and to raise sufficient funds to fulfil the above aims and objectives.
