Q.    I have not received my ticket or I need to make a change to my ticket. Who can I contact?

A.    Please contact the Telethon Office on 8310 0268 or 0460 569 336 or email at homelottery@telethon.com.au

If you purchased your ticket directly from one of the participating Charities please contact them directly, their contact details are listed on the supported Charities page on this website.

Tickets purchased online can sometimes end up in your junk/spam or clutter folders, depending on your ISP and or email settings. Please check these folders first to see if the email has gone into one of these.

Q.     How many tickets are available in the lottery?

A.     There are 200,000 tickets PLUS 40,000 bonus tickets for purchasers of five continuous tickets in one transaction. Maximum of 240,000 tickets.

Q.     How many prizes are there and what are they?

A.     There are 5 prizes, details as follows;

1st Prize – A Melisi Projects Home at The Square at Woodville West, Includes a $20,000 (RRP) Taste Furniture voucher valued at $612,000

2nd PRIZE – Brand New 2021 MG Core3 from Newspot Motors valued at $17,000 (RRP)

3rd PRIZE - $5,000 Cash

Early Bird Prize - Brand New 2021 MG Core3 from Newspot Motors valued at $17,000 (RRP)

Book Buyers Prize - $5,000 Cash   

Q.     Who is eligible to buy tickets?

A.     Any person except the following persons and immediate family members are ineligible to purchase tickets for themselves or on behalf of any other person; Renewal SA.

Q.     Can I purchase a ticket if I live interstate or overseas?

A.     The lottery is licensed in South Australia, however, we will accept orders from out of state residents. All prizes are subject to the Terms and Conditions, and it will be the responsibility of the winner of the 1st, 2nd and Early Bird Prizes to collect their prizes in Adelaide, South Australia.

Q.     Are tickets tax-deductible?

A.     No tickets purchased are not tax-deductible?

Q.     When is the Early Bird Prize drawn?

A.     All prizes including the Early Bird Prize are drawn at 11 am Tuesday, 29 June 2021.

Q.     Which Charities are participating in the Lottery?

A.     Proceeds from the Lottery supports the following South Australian Charities:

 Arthritis SA, Bedford, CFS Foundation Inc, Grow SA, HeartKids Limited (SA/NT), JDRF Australia (SA), KYD-X, Legacy Club of South Australia & Broken Hill, The Mary Potter Foundation, Puddle Jumpers Inc, Royal Society for the Blind, Royal Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals, Minton Farm Animal Rescue, Ronald McDonald House Charity South Australia, Safe Pets Safe Families, Treasure Boxes, VIEW Clubs of Australia (SA) part of The Smith Family, United Way SA, Vinnies SA, Motor Neurone Disease Association of SA,  Still Aware and TelethonSA.

Q.     I don’t wish to order my tickets online? What are my options?

A.     Paper tickets can be ordered by calling the Telethon Office on 8310 0268 or 0460 569 336. We can process your tickets over the phone or send you an order form to post in to us. You can also purchase paper tickets directly from any of the participating Charities and Wallis Cinemas.

Tickets shall also be available from time to time at various retail outlets and point of sale outlets.

Q.     How much money is raised and how are the proceeds distributed?

A.     Assuming all tickets are sold (including bonus tickets) the projected net profit (after expenses) of the Telethon Home and Land Lottery is over $1.5 million or (75%) of net proceeds will support the work of the 23 participating South Australian Charities.

Q.     When does the Lottery close?

A.     Sales in the Lottery close at midnight (CDST) on Sunday 20 June 2021. To be eligible to win the Early Bird prize tickets must be purchased no later than midnight (CDST) Sunday 16 May 2021.

Q.     When and where will the Lottery be drawn?

A.     The Lottery for ALL prizes (including the Early Bird prize) will be drawn at 11 am on Tuesday 29 June 2021 in The Ballroom, Bunnik House, Ground Floor, 45 Flinders Street, Adelaide, SA 5000.

Q.     Can a ticket purchaser win multiple prizes?

A.     If you purchased your tickets before the closing of the Early Bird prize your ticket is entered in ALL draws! Tickets purchased after 16 May 2021 are entered into all draws for 1st, 2nd and 3rd  prizes. A separate draw is made for the Book Buyers prize.

Q.     Where and when are the winning results published?

A.     Prize winners will be published in the Public Notices section of the classified advertisements in The Advertiser on Saturday 3rd July 2021. Winners will be contacted by both telephone and in writing no later than 4 days following the draw with details on how to collect their prize.

Q.     Can I visit the home?

A.     No, however, the home, located at Lot 421, Nicholls Terrace, The Square at Woodville West, will be under construction from March 2021. It is scheduled for completion in late August 2021, subject to any unforeseen COVID-19 restrictions/lockdowns.

Q.     If I win the major prize do I have to take possession of the home?

A.    Yes. However, the winner does not have to keep the home for a minimum period of time and can choose to sell the home at any time after settlement. Settlement on the home is scheduled for approximately 4 weeks after the completion of the build of the home.  

Q.     What if the value of the Major Prize fluctuates before handover?

A.     Approximate retail value (RRP) of the home and land (including furnishings) is as of the date of print.  Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the prize may rise or diminish over time. The winner or licensee is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.
